Last Call For Winterlude

So this is the final weekend for Winterlude, the National Capital's annual snow and skating fun fest. While I was willing to brave to long looooong lines for a beaver tail (want to try to catch one on the way home next week), I did see some of the festivities.

Went for brunch with YHN, who turned all of 30 years old this week (eek!), as well as a long walk around outside (Glebe to the Market area to Ottawa South and back to the beginning). My walk took hours, but I survived the not so cold cold pretty well and saw lots of Winterlude action from not so afar. I also briefly walked through the park to see some of the ice sculptures, which were looking particularly fabulous today. The sun, temperature, etc., and conditions in general made lots of the ice look like molded plastic - so cool! Though I'd share.

More later, me thinks.
