Summer is almost over - Boohoo!

So, I know fall is coming as a friend left this weekend to start her masters in Edmonton.

Sigh.

Where did the summer go?

Well, I did take a far too short vacation -one meager week- and spent it visiting the grandparents in Burlington, ON -including a lovely day of shopping in TO- and in DC to visit Mr. Sweetie (haha - sucker!).

I could go on and on in nuanced detail about my days away, but that would mar my lackluster blog with an entry worth reading. So, instead I shall post some pics of our hike in the Shenandoah. We went to some nationally park thing and hiked around for 3 hours. It was fun. We didn't get lost, and the bugs and sun were fine and dandy (meaning, not bad at all). Oh, and there were crazy amounts of butterflies on the more well traversed trails (see below). So pretty!

Then we drove the 2 hours back to DC and pigged out on Korean food. Woohoo! My kinda day (well, a bit too much driving, but who cares). The evening ended with treats in my fav bakery in Annandale. Ah, vacation.

We are planning to hike in Gatineau Park next weekend, so perhaps I shall manage to post twice within a one month period. Wild. Crazy! Stay tooned.
