In case you weren't aware...
So I hope everyone had a good Labour day, and said "Ta-ta!" to summer. Those in the 'Wa the past couple days (and DC too, from what I hear), may be asking if I have recently had some head trauma as it has been unseasonably warm, but you cannot deny that the leaves have begun to turn (or, at least, they have in Ottawa). Sigh.
Anyhoo, I had a wonderful Labour day weekend, as Mr. P was up and we stay at the Arc hotel - which I had always wanted to try out! And it was great and all boutique-y. We had dinner at Sweetgrass Aboriginal Bistro, and it was lovely and just as restaurants should be. Check it out! We also rediscovered a Korean BBQ place in Sandy Hill, that looks so divy from the outside, but is one of two places in North America that I have found to have our fav Korean dish Tak kalbi (spicy chicken stirfry with cabbage, sweet potato and ddeok - rice cake). Mmmm! For some reason Ottawa and Toronto have a place, but not Annandale. How weird is that!?! Oh well, 'twas yummy.
We also went to the cottage in Kazabazua, QC. See the cottage monster on the dock? Scary. Actually, the day was *perfect* - fantastic weather and temp & the countryside was in gorgeous end of summer glory. We had a wonderful row in the boat, walk down the lane, and BBQ dinner with Shiraz and Wakefield Bakery strawberry-ruhbarb pie. Ah, heaven.
That's all for now. Enjoy the cooler weather!
