Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a fabulous Thanksgiving. After weeks of crappy rainny weather, Ottawa has been gorgeous this weekend. Woohoo!

We have had a great Thanksgiving so far. We managed to emergency host a dinner for 8 yesterday night (with some help, of course). The hostess was down with a cold, but the turkey was defrosted, so someone had to cook it. We have a lovely time with family and friends, even if it wasn't what had been planned up until Saturday night! I made some tasty enough pumpkin pie and gingerbread (which I thought tasted too much like molasses bread thanks to some potent organic unsulphered blackstrap molasses - oh well, folks still liked it!).





I even was in such a good Thanksgiving mood when I woke up this morning I made some classic pumpkin muffins, and enjoyed the beautiful bounty of fall.






I hope everyone's weekend is as good as mine has been!
