Long, long time

So, it's been a long, long time since I posted. Mainly, I've been working as a senior advisor for an Assistant Deputy Minister, and alternating between spending my spare time dancing or weight lifting -- and traveling on occasion. I've been to NYC, Turkey, and Japan. I just got back from a week in St. Lucia.
Where I got married. Yup. Got hitched - Caribbean style. Cause the time was right, and the wedding ceremony was a simple elopement style thing we got for free because of the room type we booked. Maybe the time also seemed right because we are planning to move to the Yukon. That's right - more travel! Mike got a job as a negotiator in Whitehorse for this spring, so the wheels are in motion. Thanks in part to me getting my driver's license and working my butt off over the past 1.5 years, we are pretty much able to pack up and jet off. My house takes care of itself (thanks to my best buddy KLR), and we'll rent Mike's - too bad we just finished a lovely bathroom reno. Le sigh.
