The Birth of Modernity

Hi guys,

I decided to start this pitiful version of a blog in order to keep in touch - mo mo mo, the usual. Since I am currently undergoing my usual birthday identity and life assessment crisis, I figured, why not try something new? I do believe this will work at least slightly better than my last attempt at web spaces, which was in 2001-2002 in Korea. Some of you may recall what a bomb that was.

Point here is that I am still working on the masters thesis that goes nowhere thanks in some fair part to the Concordia MPPPA's lovely administration and some (I do believe lesser) part to my own laziness and procrastination. Other than the never ending thesis, I am still working full time at PHI (that's over three years now, baby), and taking Japanese language lessons. I am currently in the process of applying to the JET program for 2006-2007, and also a couple PhD programs here in Canada (gotta keep your bases covered).

The site will host pics and blurbs about my daily life and whatever random thoughts flitter through my brain. Oh, and did you like the name? A total tribute to Taylor, but I couldn't resist. Without the reference, I am sure the name would have ended up being something ridiculously cute (you know how I love things that are kawaii!), like "Sakura in the Snow" or "Lollipop thoughts", or something equally painful. Ugh. See how much I care? I spare you!
