So, I was caught in the rain and hail thunderstorm that passed through Ottawa late this afternoon. I was completely soaked except for a small bit in the front which a guarded fiercly with my umbrella as my laptop was hanging in front of me. It was coooooooold rain that flooded the bad street drains in the Glebe, creating flowing torrents of water across most of the driveways and sidewalks. It also went down my collar, soaking the back of my jacket and my pants completely (right down to my undies, yes, it was that bad).

I know, I know, I am a total slacker. Not much has really happened. I got sick of making diet food. I fell off the allergy diet and now feel like treat-sodden belly-bloated headonist who needs desperatley to get back on the wagon. Unfortunately (and yet, so not), I am going to PEI for a few days with Mr. P. I think it will be very very fun. We are stopping in Estrie on the way down.
We plan to eat lots of yummy food: lobster, PEI potatoes, mussels, frites, BBQ, yum, yum, yum! I hope we shall also walk around lots as we plan to go to North Hatley, Sherbrooke, Bedeque, Charlottetown, Cavendish, and North Rustico (I hope, at least briefly). FYI, it's the 100 anniversary of Anne of Green Gables. Cool, no? It's also Charlottetown's Old Home Week - if we were a bit earlier we could see Sloan!
I will be updating in a week or so and then you will all have something fun and exciting to read. I shall post pics o' plenty. And, after I am back I shall be back on the wagon (possibly even joining the gym) and doing other fun things to write about.
Stay tune, and enjoy the end of summer!
