I cannot stop listening to The Crystal Lake by Grandaddy. For some reason it totally appeals to me today. I am thinking because I find the following clip of lyrics to be an exceedingly accurate description of office life - at least, how I see it these days. Man, I shoulda been a forester, or a, er, tree planter, or something, something outdoorsy.
Should never have left the crystal lake
For areas where trees are fake
And dogs are dead with broken hearts
Collapsing by the coffee carts
I think I love the dogs and coffee references. Curious for more? See the full lyrics or Grandaddy.
