Well, well, well. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I had a very busy holiday period, in which I do believe I saw most all of you (some how, not sure how that worked out). It was wonderful, but not enough. Sigh. So this week it was back to the grindstone and snoresville. I miss you all. Thanks to everyone who came to Ottawa and squeezed in a visit or two with me - it was mah-velous.
I was lucky enough to get to go to the Sconewitch and the Soupiere over the past week, both places where I really REALLY wanted to eat lunch at for a long while (say, since they opened), and never got a chance to do so 'til now. It was super great. The Sconewitch scones were to die for, just as rumoured. It's too bad the place is a bit on the small side, as I had gotten there early and was having to fight to keep all the chairs at the cafe table! Anyhoo, all yee who come to Ottawa in the next little while should expect to go there with me at some point because I am gonna be making an effort. The food and atmosphere are great (they even have scone related art work on the walls - see the pic of Yosha and Michelle below with the scone painting peeking out behind Yosha's head). Cool, eh? Thanks ladies, 'twas v. scrumpcious what with the food and gossip and all!

Anyhoo, the Soupiere is also a great food place, but they keep it a wee bit cool inside to promote the eating of soups, salads, and sandwiches - all of which seem to be to die for, though I can only attest to trying two soups and a salad (though I was too full to try Michael's salad, he did say that it was quite yummy). Even if the place is a bit cold temp-wise, it is fun and yummy, and nice on a cold day (like today, damn winter!). Friends, scones and soup is about as exciting as this post holiday blues filled week got. And that's all for now, really. Cheers.
