HO HO HO!

Hey, boys and girls, Merry Christmas!! I am in Burlington, Ontario (just outside Toronto) at my grandmother's, enjoying the festive season. Actually, my mum and I are cooking the turkey dinner while planning our shopping trip tomorrow (Yorkdale Mall, 8 AM start!). I hope everyone is enjoying their time off with friends and family. I can't wait to see you all when I get back to Ottawa (tomorrow night), and y'all arrive (most by the 27th, I believe).

I was totally silly in my desperate prediction that the weather would be cold enough for us to go skating. That is simply not going to happen; though it was initially cold at the beginning of this month, it has warmed up considerably across Ontario during the past week or so. It's rained here in Burlington for the past three days - and oddly enough, their grass under the snow is really green. It was quite odd doing the standard old folk's thing of driving around to see the Christmas lights (Burlingtonians being a little heavy handed in a classy way with them) when all the ground was a rather vivid shade of green. I would post some pix, but my step-grandfather's computer is a wee bit elderly, and not all that digital camera friendly. Hopefully, I will add some Xmas images during this next week.

Take care and enjoy the season!
